"G" Force Sensor Test (AWD Models)
- Remove "G" force sensor. See "G" FORCE SENSOR (AWD)
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Place sensor on level surface. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between sensor terminals. See Fig 1
. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace sensor.
- Check for continuity between sensor terminals while slowly tilting sensor in direction of forward vehicle travel. See Fig 1
. No continuity should exist when sensor angle is 30 degrees or greater. If no continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity exists, replace sensor.
- Check for continuity between sensor terminals while slowly tilting sensor in direction of reverse vehicle travel. See Fig 1
. No continuity should exist when sensor angle is 30 degrees or greater. If continuity exists, replace sensor.
