Power Transistor (Colt, Colt 200, Mirage & Summit)
- Disconnect power transistor connectors. Using a DVOM, connect positive ohmmeter lead to terminal No. 2 and negative lead to terminal No. 7. See Fig 1
. Ensure there is no continuity.
- Using a 1.5-volt dry cell battery, connect positive end of 1.5-volt battery to power transistor terminal No. 8 and negative end to terminal No. 7. DVOM should now read continuity at power transistor terminals No. 2 and No. 7. Replace power transistor if it does not test as described.
