Pressure Test

  1. Connect pressure gauges to input and output ports of the proportioning valve. See Fig 1 . Bleed brake hydraulic system. Refer to BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
  2. Slowly depress brake pedal. Check readings on pressure gauges. Ensure output pressure begins to drop relative to input pressure at split point pressure range of 526-604 psi (37-42 kg/cm2 ).
  3. Continue depressing brake pedal and check readings on pressure gauges. See PROPORTIONING VALVE PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS  table. If fluid pressures or split point are not within specification, replace proportioning valve.
