Transfer Case Adapter: Inspection

Using Wrench Adapter (MD998806) and torque wrench, check turning torque of driven bevel gear. See Figure . Turning torque should be 9-15 INCH lbs. (1.0-1.7 N.m). If turning torque is out of specification, select and install adjusting driven bevel gear preload spacer. See DRIVEN BEVEL GEAR PRELOAD SPACERS TABLE  .
