Using Voltmeter

  1. Connect analog-type voltmeter between ground terminal and self-diagnosis output terminal of diagnosis connector. See Fig 1 .

  2. Turn ignition on.
  3. Make a note of the pattern of the self-diagnosis output indicated by voltmeter.
  4. Refer to diagnosis chart, and repair the indicated location of malfunction. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS  .
  5. Erase malfunction code. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  .
