Transaxle Control Module (TCM)

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect electrical connectors from TCM. On all except Sonata models, TCM is located below passenger's seat. See Figure -8. On Sonata models, TCM is located below center of instrument panel at center console. See Figure -8.
  2. Connect known good TCM to electrical connectors and road test vehicle. If malfunction does not occur, replace original TCM. If problem occurs, original TCM is okay. Check sensors and wire harness.
