Ignition Switch Input Circuit

  1. Disconnect ETACS control unit. With ignition switch in ACC (accessory) position, check for battery voltage at control unit harness connector terminal No. 7. See Figure -Figure .
  2. With ignition switch in OFF position, no voltage should be present at terminal No. 7. If voltage is not as indicated, check circuit and/or ignition switch. To check ignition switch, See appropriate STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT Section.
