System Input Testing

  1. System input tests should be performed if no trouble codes are stored when performing SELF-DIAGNOSTICS. System input tests cycle each cruise control switch and sensor.
  2. Use analog voltmeter or Multi-Use Tester (MB991341) for system input check. Connect voltmeter or tester leads between cruise control terminal and ground terminal of self-diagnostic connector. SeeFigure .
  3. When using multi-use tester or voltmeter, turn ignition on and main cruise control switch to OFF position. Select a cruise control circuit on multi-use tester menu. Turn set switch to ON position. Turn main cruise control switch to ON position.
  4. Within one second, turn resume switch to ON position. Select input test code from multi-use tester menu. Perform each input test according to INPUT CODE CHART. SeeFig 1 . Read codes. Turn main cruise control switch to OFF position.
