Power Window Switch Test

Remove control switch from trim panel. Using ohmmeter, check continuity of switch. See MASTER WINDOW SWITCH CONTINUITY CHART  or PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW SWITCH CONTINUITY CHART  . See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . Replace appropriate switch as necessary if switch continuity is not as specified.

Normal Position (1)
Left Front OFF Pins 2, 6 & 9
Left Front UP Pins 1 & 2; Pins 6 & 9
Left Front DOWN Pins 1 & 9; Pins 2 & 6
Right Front OFF Pins 3, 4 & 6
Right Front UP Pins 1 & 4; Pins 3 & 6
Right Front DOWN Pins 1 & 3; Pins 4 & 6
Lock Position (1)
Left Front OFF Pins 2, 6 & 9
Left Front UP Pins 1 & 2; Pins 6 & 9
Left Front DOWN Pins 1 & 9; Pins 2 & 6
Right Front OFF Pins 3 & 4
Right Front UP Pins 1 & 4
Right Front DOWN Pins 1 & 3
(1) Left side of vehicle refers to driver's side.

OFF Pins 3 & 8; Pins 5 & 7
UP Pins 3 & 8; Pins 5 & 9
DOWN Pins 3 & 9; Pins 5 & 7
