Code 17: Open IG2 Signal Circuit

NOTE: Code 17 is output when engine is operating at 450 RPM or more, and IG2 power supply voltage is not being received by TCL module due to open or shorted circuit.
  1. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect TCL module harness connector. See Figure . Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage between module harness connector terminal No. 3 and ground. See Figure .
  2. If battery voltage is present, replace TCL module and retest. If battery voltage is not present, inspect No. 7 fuse. Replace as needed. If fuse is okay, inspect and repair circuit between fuse No. 7 and TCL module harness connector. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS.
