Fuel Injector Inspection

  1. Check injector operation with engine running. Start engine and listen for injector operation (clicking sound). Ensure clicking sound of injector is not from adjacent injector with sound being transmitted through fuel delivery pipe. To check injector operating sound, use stethoscope or feel for vibration.
  2. Check resistance between injector terminals. Disconnect injector harness connector. Using ohmmeter, check resistance. Resistance should be 13-16 ohms. Replace injector if measurement is not within specification.
