Traction Control System Using Voltmeter

  1. Start and idle vehicle engine. Connect analog voltmeter negative lead to a data link connector ground terminal and positive lead to terminal No. 55. See Fig 1 .
  2. If DTCs are stored in TCL module memory, voltmeter needle will begin to sweep. Long sweeps represent tens; short sweeps represent ones. For example, 4 long sweeps and 3 short sweeps indicate DTC 43. If 2 or more DTCs are stored, lowest number will be displayed first.
  3. After recording DTC(s), perform appropriate test under CIRCUIT TESTS  . If no DTCs are stored, voltmeter needle will sweep constantly.
