Test No. 11 (Throttle Position Sensor & Closed Throttle Position Switch Circuit)
- When checking closed throttle position switch, if accelerator pedal is depressed, 4.5-5.5 volts should be present on terminal No. 4 of control unit. When accelerator pedal is released, voltage should not be present on terminal No. 4 of control unit.
- When checking throttle position sensor, if throttle valve is in idle position, .5-.7 volt should be present on terminal No. 5 of control unit. When throttle is in wide open position, 4.0-5.5 volts should be present on terminal No. 5 of control unit. If circuit does not test correctly, replace switch or repair harness.
