Windshield Wiper Test 5A - Wipers Not Working In Intermittent Mode

NOTE:
Perform WINDSHIELD WIPER TEST 1A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION in BODY CONTROL COMPUTER INTRODUCTION. Perform TEST VER-1A
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Turn ignition on. Move wiper switch through all 6 intermittent wiper positions. If wipers did not operate in any intermittent position, go to next step. If wipers operated in any intermittent position, go to step 3).
- Using scan tool, check voltage at each of the 6 intermittent wiper positions. If there is a voltage reading at all intermittent wiper positions, replace BCM. If there is not a voltage reading at all intermittent wiper positions, replace multifunction switch.
- Using scan tool, check voltage at each failed intermittent wiper position. If there is voltage at each failed intermittent wiper position, replace BCM. If there is no voltage at each failed intermittent wiper position, replace multifunction switch.
