Test 19A - Courtesy Lamp Dash Switch

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS - 3.0L article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.

Gain access to left pod switch. See Fig 1. Disconnect left pod switch connector. Check, clean and repair connections as needed. Ensure all doors are closed. Connect a jumper wire between left pod switch connector (Yellow wire) and chassis ground. If courtesy lamps illuminate, replace left pod switch. If courtesy lamps do not illuminate, repair open Yellow wire.
