Test 38B - Shorted Courtesy Lamp Switch Circuit

- WIRING DIAGRAMS - 3.3L
- WIRING DIAGRAMS - 3.5L
- Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
- Disconnect headlamp switch 8-pin connector. Using scan tool, read courtesy lamp switch status. If scan tool does not display COURTESY SWITCH CLOSED, replace courtesy lamp dash switch. If scan tool displays COURTESY SWITCH CLOSED, go to next step.
- Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Gray connector. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance on BCM Gray connector terminal No. 11 (Yellow/Red wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Yellow/Red wire. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace BCM.
