Test 39A - Open Left Front Door Ajar Circuit

- WIRING DIAGRAMS - 3.3L

- Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
- Disconnect left front door ajar switch connector. Inspect left front door ajar switch connector ground strap for damage or corrosion. Repair ground strap as necessary. If ground strap is okay, go to next step.
- Connect jumper wire between left front door ajar switch connector (Tan wire) and chassis ground. Using scan tool, read left front door ajar switch status. If scan tool displays LFDOOR AJAR CLOSED, replace left front door ajar switch. If scan tool does not display LFDOOR AJAR CLOSED, go to next step.
- Disconnect jumper wire. Gain access to Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located behind right kick panel. Connect jumper wire between BCM Gray connector terminal No. 6 (Tan wire) and chassis ground. Using scan tool, read left front door ajar switch status. If scan tool displays LFDOOR AJAR CLOSED, repair open Tan wire. If scan tool does not display LFDOOR AJAR CLOSED, replace BCM.
