"G" Force Sensor
NOTE:
"G" force sensor component test applies to vehicles equipped with All-Wheel Drive (AWD) only.
- Disconnect "G" sensor connector. Sensor is located on bracket under center console. Connect Special Tool (MB991348) between sensor and connector. Using a DVOM, check voltage between specified sensor terminals. Check voltage between terminals No. 3 (Blue/Black wire) and No. 4 (Black/White wire). Voltage should be 2.3-2.7 volts. If voltage is not as specified, replace "G" sensor. If voltage is not as specified, leave special tool and DVOM connected and go to next step.
- Note top center position of sensor, and remove sensor. See "G" FORCE SENSOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Secure sensor so that arrow on sensor is facing straight down. Voltage should be 3.1-3.9 volts. If voltage is not specified, repair wiring harness as necessary. If harness is okay, replace sensor.
