DTC 10 - MFI Relay Control Circuit Failure

NOTE: For component terminal identification, see TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION  in this article. For wiring diagrams, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  section.
  1. Remove MFI relay. Check resistance between relay terminals No. 4 and 6. Resistance should be 35-75 ohms. Connect 12-volt power source between relay terminals No. 4 and 6. Connect positive lead to terminal No. 6. With relay energized, continuity should exist between terminals No. 2 and 8. With power source removed, continuity should not exist. Replace MFI relay if any measurements are not as specified.
  2. Turn ignition on. Check voltage between MFI relay connector terminal No. 8 (Red/Black wire) and ground. If battery voltage exists, check PCM connector and wiring harness between MFI relay connector and PCM. If wiring and connector are okay, replace PCM. If battery voltage does not exist, check wiring harness and junction connectors between MFI relay connector and battery.
