No Response Test 4A - Transmission Control Module No Response

NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION in BODY CONTROL COMPUTER INTRODUCTION. Perform TEST VER-1A
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Ensure transaxle is operating properly. If transaxle is operating properly, go to next step. If transaxle is not operating properly, refer to the TRANSMISSION SERVICING article.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Transmission Control Module (TCM) 60-pin connector. Ensure connector is clean and not damaged. Turn ignition on with engine off. Connect a jumper wire between TCM 60-pin connector terminal No. 43 (Violet/Dark Green wire) and chassis ground. Using scan tool, perform CCD BUS test. If scan tool displays BUS SHORT TO GROUND, disconnect jumper wire and go to next step. If scan tool does not display BUS SHORT TO GROUND, go to step 5).
- Connect a jumper wire between TCM 60-pin connector terminal No. 4 (White/Dark Green wire) and chassis ground. Using scan tool, perform CCD BUS test. If scan tool does not display BUS SHORT TO GROUND, disconnect jumper wire and go to next step. If scan tool displays BUS SHORT TO GROUND, replace TCM.
- Locate engine 14-pin connector at BCM. Ensure connector is clean and not damaged. Backprobe a jumper wire from engine 14-pin connector terminal No. 14 (White/Dark Green wire) and chassis ground. Using scan tool, perform CCD BUS test. If scan tool does not display BUS SHORT TO GROUND, replace BCM. If scan tool displays BUS SHORT TO GROUND, repair open in White/Dark Green wire.
- Locate engine 14-pin connector at BCM. Ensure connector is clean and not damaged. Backprobe a jumper wire from engine 14-pin connector terminal No. 1 (Violet/Dark Green wire) and chassis ground. Using scan tool, perform CCD BUS test. If scan tool does not display BUS SHORT TO GROUND, replace BCM. If scan tool displays BUS SHORT TO GROUND, repair open in Violet/Dark Green wire.
