Test 88A - Identifying Power Door Lock & Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Problem

Lower both front windows. Remove key from ignition switch. Close all doors. Lock and unlock doors from both front door switches. If doors fail to lock or unlock properly, perform appropriate test listed in RKE DOOR LOCK DIAGNOSTIC DIRECTORY table. If doors lock and unlock properly, go to next step.

Using Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter, operate door locks and trunk lock. If door locks and trunk lock do not operate properly, replace transmitter batteries or substitute a known-good transmitter. If RKE transmitter still does not operate properly, go to TEST 101A . If RKE transmitter operates properly, go to next step.
Insert key in ignition switch. Open left front door. Lock doors from either switch. If doors lock with key in ignition switch, go to TEST 86A . If doors do not lock with key in ignition switch, go to next step.
If vehicle is equipped with speed sensitive locks, drive vehicle with all doors closed. Reach a vehicle speed more than 20 MPH. If doors do not lock at more than 20 MPH, go to TEST 87A. If doors lock, system is operating properly at this time.
