Test 88A - Identifying Power Door Lock & Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Problem

- Lower both front windows. Remove key from ignition switch. Close all doors. Lock and unlock doors from both front door switches. If doors fail to lock or unlock properly, perform appropriate test listed in RKE DOOR LOCK DIAGNOSTIC DIRECTORY table. If doors lock and unlock properly, go to next step.RKE DOOR LOCK DIAGNOSTIC DIRECTORY
Problem Perform Test No. Both Doors Fail To Lock & Unlock From Either Switch TEST 89A Both Doors Fail To Lock & Unlock From One Switch TEST 90A Both Doors Fail To Lock From Either Switch TEST 91A Both Doors Fail To Lock From One Switch TEST 92A Both Doors Fail To Unlock From Either Switch TEST 93A Both Doors Fail To Unlock From One Switch TEST 94A Left Front Door Fails To Lock & Unlock From Any Switch TEST 95A Left Front Door Fails To Lock From Any Switch TEST 96A Left Front Door Fails To Unlock From Any Switch TEST 97A Right Front Door Fails To Lock & Unlock TEST 98A Right Front Door Fails To Lock TEST 99A Right Front Door Fails To Unlock TEST 100A - Using Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter, operate door locks and trunk lock. If door locks and trunk lock do not operate properly, replace transmitter batteries or substitute a known-good transmitter. If RKE transmitter still does not operate properly, go to TEST 101A . If RKE transmitter operates properly, go to next step.
- Insert key in ignition switch. Open left front door. Lock doors from either switch. If doors lock with key in ignition switch, go to TEST 86A . If doors do not lock with key in ignition switch, go to next step.
- If vehicle is equipped with speed sensitive locks, drive vehicle with all doors closed. Reach a vehicle speed more than 20 MPH. If doors do not lock at more than 20 MPH, go to TEST 87A. If doors lock, system is operating properly at this time.
