Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)

On all models except Eclipse, VSS is located in speedometer in instrument cluster, and uses a reed switch to sense speedometer gear revolutions. PCM uses gear revolutions to determine vehicle speed. On Eclipse, VSS is located in transaxle.
