Scan Tool

  1. Turn ignition off, connect Multi-Use Tester II (MUT II) and appropriate ROM Pack to Data Link Connector (DLC) and to cigarette lighter socket. See Figure .
  2. Turn ignition on. ANTI-LOCK Warning light should come on as RWAL goes into self-diagnostic mode. Read and record all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from RWAL ECU memory. Refer to MUT II manufacturer's instructions for specific DTC retrieval procedure.
  3. After all DTCs have been retrieved and recorded, clear DTCs from RWAL ECU memory by disconnecting battery for at least 10 seconds. See RWAL DTC DEFINITIONS  table and appropriate DTC TEST under CIRCUIT TESTS  for servicing procedure.
