Power Window Switch

Remove control switch from trim panel. Using ohmmeter, check continuity of switch. See MASTER WINDOW SWITCH CONTINUITY  or PASSENGER-SIDE WINDOW SWITCH CONTINUITY  . See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . Replace appropriate switch as necessary if switch continuity is not as specified.

MASTER WINDOW SWITCH CONTINUITY

Switch Position (1) Check Continuity Between Pins No.
Normal Position
Left Front OFF 2, 6 & 9
Left Front UP 1 & 2; 6 & 9
Left Front DOWN 1 & 9; 2 & 6
Right Front OFF 3, 4 & 6
Right Front UP 1 & 4; 3 & 6
Right Front DOWN 1 & 3; 4 & 6
Lock Position
Left Front OFF 2, 6 & 9
Left Front UP 1 & 2; 6 & 9
Left Front DOWN 1 & 9; 2 & 6
Right Front OFF 3 & 4
Right Front UP 1 & 4
Right Front DOWN 1 & 3
(1) Left side of vehicle refers to driver's side.
PASSENGER-SIDE WINDOW SWITCH CONTINUITY

Switch Position Check Continuity Between Pins No.
OFF 3 & 8; 5 & 7
UP 3 & 8; 5 & 9
DOWN 3 & 9; 5 & 7
