Code 51

  1. Check harness connectors to memory power seat ECU, instrument panel ECU and power seat motor. Repair as necessary. If connectors are okay, go to next step.
  2. Check circuit between instrument panel ECU and memory power seat ECU. Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect memory power seat ECU harness connector. Check voltage between ground and power seat ECU harness-side connector terminal No. 48. If battery voltage is present, replace memory power seat ECU. If battery voltage is not present, go to next step.
  4. Check circuit between battery and memory power seat ECU. Repair as necessary.
  5. Check continuity between ground and memory power seat ECU harness-side connector terminal No. 56. If continuity is present, replace power seat ECU. If continuity is not present, check circuit between memory power seat ECU and ground. Repair as necessary.
