Code 55

  1. Check operation of seat reclining motor and position sensor. See SEATS - MEMORY POWER article. Replace power seat adjuster assembly as necessary. If power seat adjuster assembly is okay, go to next step.
  2. Check if seat can be adjusted using manual switch. If seat can be adjusted, go to next step. If seat cannot be adjusted or only the reclining degree cannot be adjusted, diagnose and repair power seat. See SEATS - MEMORY POWER article.
  3. Check circuit between memory power seat ECU, rear height position sensor and ground. Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, replace memory power seat ECU.
