NOTE: When ignition is first turned on, self-diagnostic system will be in regular (engine performance-type) DTC output mode.

Connect Scan Tool (MB991502) to Data Link Connector (DLC). To switch into the simplified fault diagnostic mode, turn ignition on. Operate passing switch twice or more within 5 seconds. Trouble codes are displayed by the flashing of high beam indicator light.
