Throttle Position Sensor

  1. Disconnect throttle position sensor harness connector. Check resistance between sensor terminals No. 1 and 4. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Resistance should be 3.5-6.5 ohms.
  2. Connect an analog ohmmeter between sensor terminals No. 2and 4. Operate throttle valve slowly from idle to wide open throttle. Resistance should change smoothly as throttle is opened and closed. Replace throttle position sensor as necessary.
