Test No. 2

  1. Install Scan Tool (MB991502) to DLC. Perform door switch input signal test. Follow scan tool manufacturer's instructions. If scan tool buzzer sounds when door switch is on, go to next step. If scan tool buzzer does not sound when door switch is on, check left side door input circuit and ignition switch circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair if necessary.
  2. Perform ignition switch input signal test. Follow scan tool manufacturer's instructions. If scan tool buzzer sounds when ignition key is turned on and off, replace ETACS-ECU. If scan tool buzzer does not sound when ignition key is turned on and off, check ignition switch circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair if necessary.
