Intake Charge Air Pressure Control System Test (3000GT)
- Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, check for and record any DTCs. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Black hose from wastegate solenoid and connect a vacuum "T" and hose between solenoid and Black hose. Connect a vacuum pump to vacuum "T". Disconnect end of Black hose (painted Red) from turbocharger wastegate actuator control boost nipple, and plug nipple.
- Turn ignition on. Apply vacuum to Black hose at vacuum "T". Open and close end of Black hose (painted Red). With hose open, vacuum should bleed down. With hose closed, vacuum should hold. Start engine and allow to idle at normal operating temperature. With vacuum applied and hose closed, vacuum should bleed down. If operation is not as specified, check turbocharger wastegate actuator, wastegate solenoid or hose.
