Steering Wheel Sensor: Notes
WARNING:
Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation involving steering column components. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Do not apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.
CAUTION:
DO NOT allow any dust, grease or other foreign matter to get on the steering wheel sensor slit plate of the column switch or steering wheel sensor, which contains a photo coupler.
