Using MUT-II Tester Or Scan Tool

CAUTION: Actuator test should only be carried out for 3 seconds. Because engine speed will increase once actuator test is stopped, accelerator pedal should be released quickly after it has been depressed.

NOTE: Traction control ECU will request torque: "0" signal to engine ECU for 3 seconds while actuator test is being carried out, and TCL OFF indicator will illuminate during this time.

Connect MUT-II tester to data link connector. Move shift lever to "P" park position. Start engine. Turn TCL switch to on. Select test No. 5 on MUT-II tester. Fully depress the accelerator pedal at the same time. Verify engine speed is not allowed to increase over 3000 RPM at the same time.
