Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (APS)

Disconnect APS sensor harness connector A-69. Measure resistance between terminal No. 1 (Green/Yellow wire) and No. 4 (Black wire) at APS harness connector A-69. See Figure . Resistance should be between 3.5-6.5 ohms. Check resistance between terminals No. 1 (Green/Yellow wire) and No. 2 (Brown/Red wire) when accelerator pedal is gradually depressed. Resistance should change gradually in proportion to the amount of throttle opening. If resistance is not between standard value, or if resistance does not change smoothly, replace APS.
