DTC Set Criteria
- Vehicle speed has reached one MPH at least once. Engine is in closed loop idle speed control. Code will set if actual idle speed is 300 RPM or more greater than target idle speed for 12 seconds.
- Vehicle speed has reached one MPH or more at least once. Engine is in closed loop idle speed control. Maximum outside air temperature is less than 113°F (45°C). Engine coolant temperature is more than 180°F (82°C). System voltage is more than 10 volts. Intake air temperature is more than 14°F (-10°C). Barometric pressure is more than 11 psi (76 kPa). Code will set if actual idle speed is 200 RPM or more greater than target idle speed for 12 seconds.
- Engine is in closed loop idle speed control. Engine coolant temperature is more than 180°F (82°C). System voltage is more than 10 volts. Power steering switch is off. Volumetric efficiency is less than 40 percent. Intake air temperature is more than 14°F (-10°C). Barometric pressure is more than 11 psi (76 kPa). Code will set if actual idle speed is more than 100 RPM less than target idle speed for 12 seconds.
