DTC Set Criteria
- If engine coolant temperature was less than 32°F (0°C) when engine was started, at least 8 minutes have passed since engine started. Engine coolant temperature is more than 113°F (45°C). Intake air temperature is more than 41°F (5°C). Volumetric efficiency is 30-45 percent (2.4L) or 30-55 percent (3.0L). Code will set when Manifold Differential Pressure (MDP) sensor output voltage is more than 4.6 volts, or less than .1 volt, for 4 seconds (2.4L) or 2 seconds (3.0L).
- If engine coolant temperature was 32°F (0°C) or more when engine was started, at least 8 minutes have passed since engine started. Engine coolant temperature is more than 113°F (45°C). Intake air temperature is more than 41°F (5°C). Volumetric efficiency is less than 30 percent. Code will set when MDP sensor output voltage is more than 4.2 volts for 4 seconds (2.4L) or 2 seconds (3.0L).
- If engine coolant temperature was 32°F (0°C) or more when engine was started, at least 8 minutes have passed since starting engine. Engine coolant temperature is more than 113°F (45°C). Intake air temperature is more than 41°F (5°C). Volumetric efficiency is more than 70 percent. Code will set when MDP sensor output voltage is less than 1.8 volts for 4 seconds (2.4L) or 2 seconds (3.0L).
