DTC 17: Throttle Position Sensor

  1. Check if PCM DTC P0120 (engine performance DTC) is also present. If DTC P0120 is present, see appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If DTC P0120 is not present, go to next step.
  2. Check connector between throttle position sensor and cruise control ECU. Repair as necessary. If connector is okay, check circuit between throttle position sensor and cruise control ECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, replace cruise control ECU.
