Test O-2: Ignition Switch IG1 Circuit Check

  1. Remove ETACS-ECU. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage between ground and ETACS-ECU 20-pin connector C-114 terminal No. 11. See Figure . If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step. If battery voltage exists, replace ETACS-ECU and retest system.
    NOTE: On retest, ignition switch (IG1) input signal check should be okay. Ignition key tone alarm, light reminder tone alarm, seat belt tone alarm, power window timer, seat belt warning light, headlight automatic shutdown, turn signal light and dome light dimming functions should work normally.
  2. Check ETACS-ECU connector C-114 for loose, damaged or corroded terminals. Check for open in Green wire between ETACS-ECU connector C-114 terminal No. 11 and ignition switch 6-pin connector terminal No. 2. See Figure . Repair connector or Green wire as necessary and retest system.
