Function Selection

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Connect MUT-II Scan Tool (MB991502) to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to ON position.
  2. From immobilizer menu, select SPECIAL FUNCTION. To register key identification (encrypted code), see KEY ID REGISTER (ENCRYPTED CODE REGISTRATION)  . To change immobilizer system password, see PASSWORD SET  .
  3. After registration procedure, turn ignition switch to LOCK position and leave off for at least 10 seconds. Ensure each of ignition keys can start engine. Ensure immobilizer and ECM/PCM DTCs do not reset. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position before disconnecting scan tool.
