Test No. 3

  1. Remove power window main switch from door panel. Test power window main switch. See MAIN SWITCH  under POWER WINDOW SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTS. If power window main switch is okay, go to next step. If power window main switch is bad, replace switch and retest system.
  2. Remove driver door panel. Test power window motor operation. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR  . If power window motor is okay, go to next step. If power window motor is bad, replace motor and retest system. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  3. Check for continuity in Red/Black and Green/Black wires between power window motor and main switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair wiring as necessary and retest system. If wiring is okay, problem is intermittent, check connectors and retest system.
