Test No. 4

  1. Remove power window main switch from door panel. Test power window main switch. See MAIN SWITCH  under POWER WINDOW SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTS. If power window main switch is okay, go to next step. If power window main switch is bad, replace switch and retest system.
  2. Remove power window sub-switch from right front door panel. Test power window right front sub-switch. See SUB-SWITCH  under POWER WINDOW SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTS. If power window right front sub-switch is okay, go to next step. If power window right front sub-switch is bad, replace switch and retest system.
  3. Remove right front door panel. Test power window motor operation. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR  . If power window motor is okay, go to next step. If power window motor is bad, replace motor and retest system. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  4. Check for continuity in Red/Black and Green/Black wires between power window motor and sub-switch. Repair wiring as necessary and retest system. If wiring is okay, go to next step.
  5. Check for continuity in Red/White and Green wires between power window sub-switch and main switch. Ensure continuity exists through each in-line connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair wiring as necessary and retest system. If wiring is okay, problem is intermittent. Check all connections and retest system.
