Retrieving Input Switch Codes

NOTE: System input switch test should be performed if no DTCs are stored when performing self-diagnostics. System input tests cycle each cruise control switch and sensor.
  1. Use scan tool for code retrieval. Turn ignition off. Install scan tool to DLC. Turn ignition on. While holding cruise control switch in SET/COAST position, depress end of switch to ON position. Within one second, move switch up to RES position. See Figure .
  2. Operate each switch in CHECK RESULTS CODE IDENTIFICATION  table, and read input switch codes on scan tool. Repair or replace components as necessary.
