Test D-2: Power Window Timer Function Does Not Work Normally

  1. Check for DTCs. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If DTC is not present, go to next step. If DTC is present, perform appropriate DTC diagnostic test. See DIAGNOSTIC TESTS  .
  2. Check input signals for:
    • Ignition switch (IG1).
    • Driver's and front passenger's door switch.
    See appropriate tests in INPUT SIGNAL CHECK FUNCTION  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If input signal test shows a fault, repair indicated circuit and retest system. If input signal test is okay, replace ETACS-ECU and retest system.
