Test E-3: Keyless Entry Encrypted Code Cannot Be Registered
- If encrypted code register mode is not set, go to next step. If encrypted code mode is set and transmitter cannot be registered, to step 3
.
- Check input signals for:
- Key reminder switch.
- Hazard warning light switch.
See appropriate tests in INPUT SIGNAL CHECK FUNCTION
under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If input signal test shows a fault, repair indicated circuit. If input signal test is okay, replace ETACS-ECU. After repair, check that transmitter can be registered.
- Replace transmitter battery and check if transmitter can be registered. If transmitter cannot be registered, replace ETACS-ECU.
