Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Check front HO2S and circuit. See DTC P0130 & P0150: FRONT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (HO2S) CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION  . Repair front HO2S or circuit as necessary, then go to step  5 . If problem does not exist, go to next step.
  2. Check fuel injectors and circuit. See DTC P0201-P0206: FUEL INJECTOR CYLINDER NO. 1-6 CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION  . If problem exists, repair fuel injectors or circuit as necessary, then go to step  5 . If problem does not exist, go to next step.
  3. Check fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE under FUEL SYSTEM in BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES article. If problem exists, repair as necessary, then go to step  5 . If problem does not exist, go to next step.
  4. Check air intake system and exhaust system for leaks. Check fuel filter and fuel line for clogging. Check fuel pump for low delivery volume. If problem exists, repair as necessary, then go to next step. If problem does not exist, replace ECM, then go to next step.
  5. Connect all disconnected components. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Test drive vehicle following other monitor drive cycle pattern. See OBD-II DRIVE CYCLES under VERIFYING REPAIRS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - INTRODUCTION article. Check for DTCs. Confirm DTC does not reset. See VERIFYING REPAIRS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - INTRODUCTION article.
