DTC Set Criteria

DTC P0134 will set under following conditions:

• When the Heated Oxygen Sensor begins to deteriorate, the HO2S signal response becomes poor.
• If Multiport Fuel Injection (MFI) system does not enter closed loop control within 30 seconds of engine being started.
• Engine coolant temperature is greater than 178°F (81°C), engine speed greater than 1200 RPM and barometric pressure is 3.5 psi (24 kPa) or more.
• On (1.8L), volumetric efficiency is greater than 30 percent and engine is in closed loop air/fuel control.

Monitor runs for 30 seconds. Code will set if system does not enter closed loop, after meeting all set criteria.
