Diagnostic Trouble Code Definitions

NOTE: DTCs can only be retrieved by using a scan tool. See ENTERING ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.

When Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is obtained, refer to appropriate DTC test procedure under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS .

(1) After the ECM (M/T) or PCM (A/T) detects a malfunction, a diagnostic trouble code is recorded the next time the engine is started and the same malfunction is re-detected. However, for items marked with a "(1)", the diagnostic trouble code is recorded on the first detection of the malfunction.
