Function Selection

CAUTION: Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool.
  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect scan tool to DLC. See Figure . Turn ignition switch to ON position.
  2. From immobilizer menu, select SPECIAL FUNCTION. To register key identification (encrypted code), see KEY ID REGISTER (ENCRYPTED CODE REGISTRATION)  . To change immobilizer system password, see PASSWORD SET  .
  3. After registration procedure, turn ignition switch to LOCK position and leave off for at least 10 seconds. Ensure each ignition key can start engine. Ensure immobilizer and ECM/PCM DTCs do not reset. Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position before disconnecting scan tool.
