DTC Set Conditions
Check conditions are when engine speed is 500-6000 RPM, engine coolant temperature is more than -14°F (-10°C), intake air temperature is more than 14°F (-10°C), barometric pressure is more than 11 psi (76 kPa) and adaptive learning is complete for the vane which generates a crankshaft position signal. Engine must be running, excluding gear shifting, deceleration, sudden acceleration/deceleration and A/C compressor switching and the throttle deviation is -0.059 v/10 ms to 0.059 v/10 ms. Judgement criteria is when misfire has occurred more frequently than allowed during the last 200 revolutions when the catalyst temperature is more than 1742°F (950°C)or misfire has occurred in 20 or more of the last 1000 revolutions (corresponding to 1.5 times the limit of emission standard). Change in the angular acceleration of the crankshaft is used for misfire detection.
