DTC Set Criteria
Test Conditions A: At Start Up
- Intake air temperature is 97°F (36°C) or less when engine started.
- Engine coolant temperature was 97°F (36°C) or less when engine started.
Test Conditions B: For Test To Run
- Fuel temperature is 97°F (36°C) or less.
- Engine coolant temperature is more than 68°F (20°C) when remaining fuel in tank is 40-80 percent (fuel level sensor voltage is 2.4-3.9 volts).
- Engine coolant temperature is more than 136°F (58°C) when remaining fuel in tank is 15-40 percent (fuel level sensor voltage is 1.4-2.4 volts).
- Engine speed is 1600 RPM or more.
- Barometric pressure is more than 11 psi (76 kPa).
- Volumetric efficiency is 20-80 percent.
- Fuel tank differential pressure sensor output voltage is 1-4 volts.
Test Conditions C: For Test To Stop
- Intake air temperature was 41°F (5°C) or less.
- EVAP system emission purge solenoid and EVAP emission ventilation solenoid are closed, the pressure rises higher than 0.065 psi (0.451 kPa) when remaining fuel in tank is 15-40 percent (fuel level sensor voltage is 1.4-2.4 volts).
- EVAP system emission purge solenoid and EVAP emission ventilation solenoid are closed, the pressure rises higher than 0.047 psi (0.324 kPa) when remaining fuel in tank is 40-85 percent (fuel level sensor voltage is 2.4-3.9 volts).
Code will set if internal pressure of fuel tank changes more than 0.29 psi (2 kPa) after tank and vapor lines are closed. Monitoring time is dependent upon fuel level and temperature in the fuel tank and is 150 seconds.
