DTC Set Criteria
DTC will set if misfire is determined by change in angular velocity of Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor. Misfire occurred more frequently than allowed during last 200 revolutions when catalytic converter temperature is 1742°F (950°C) or more or when misfire has occurred in 14 or more of last 1000 revolutions (corresponding to 1.5 times limit of emission standard). This will happen when volumetric efficiency is at 30-60 percent and .5 second or more have passed since engine was started. Engine speed is 440-3000 RPM. Engine coolant temperature and intake air temperature is more than 14°F (-10°C). Atmospheric pressure is more than 11 psi (76 kPa). No sudden accelerations or decelerations are occurring.
